BRZ's are really magical here in the UK as they are invisible. So meeting another owner good or bad will be miracle!
|
A man at my work drives a BRZ. He is the only one in the building (that houses about 300 people) that rips through the parking lot every morning. I've seen some near misses w/ people walking to work on several occasions.
Also, he has the need to control everything/everyone. For example, Our department was going to buy a Keurig machine. He had the need to tell our supervisor that this isn't fair for the rest of the building and if we did buy one, he'd throw it out the window. (then pulled the same stunt when we wanted to get a popcorn machine) I thought fun loving people bought these cars.. or maybe he bought it in an attempt to fill his own void. edit: icing on the cake! he likes to belittle me every chance he gets because I had to sell my FRS so I could pay for a wedding and go back to school. |

I have seen a grand total of 4 Twins while actually driving my car. Three of them ignored me as if I wasn't even there but the forth was an asshat.
From back in July (and in the Come Race Me Bro thread): Couple of days ago I am headed home on the highway in busy but well moving traffic when I look in my mirror and see this rapidly expanding blue dot coming up. I was already doing about 15 over the limit (so was the rest of the traffic) so I knew the guy had to be flying. Well the dude gets up beside me, slows down and paces me in the passing lane. I have cruise on so my speed doesn't waver one single MPH. He never even so much as glances in my direction and after about 30 seconds just down shifts shoots ahead until he has just enough room, cuts in front of me, brake checks me and continues driving slower that the rest of the lane is going. I put up with this for about 5 minutes and finally said "screw this", went around him and pulled back into the lane ahead of him moving about 15 mph faster than he was. As soon as I hit cruise he was downshifting and passing me. Once again without even a head turn. The exact same scenario played out once more before he apparently got bored of my love of cruise control and not going to jail and he took off, never to be seen again. Through the whole thing he never even appeared to know I was there and did not look in my direction even once. Damned BRZ drivers!!!!!! (More seriously. If you are on here Bruuuh trade for a freakn' Mustang and stop giving us a bad rep. That shit was stupid and did not impress me for one second) |

As much as i wanna agree....id fear karma. Id just start ignoring him or ask em every day the same question like, "race any mini vans lately?" Or just ask him if hes at 200 whp yet because a old type R would smoke em. Just for fun, no validity. Then, when hed start answering, id walk away whistling to walking in the rain (or is it dancing?). |

Most of my encounters on the road with twins have been positive, nothing overly negative. Usually people wave or do a peace sign. I've seen a few people just stare -|, makes for an awkward moment.
