Easy on the stock-bashing. Ultramarine, no less? Just because it's the best color is no reason... Just sayin'.

Every twin driver I've actually seen here just mind their own business and drive normally/politely. Only been acknowledged by 2, an argento 10 series and an asphalt one similar to mine. Only people that have tried to race me are riced out hondas or mercedes slk's. Lucky for me, I take the curvy commute.

Lol, so much truth in this thread

The fact of the matter is that in the next 3 years this car will be the next RSX or Gen Coupe that bro douches will pick up for sure

With that being said, there's this red FR-S in the GTA that weaves in and out on the 401. Aftermarket exhaust, barely legal tints, smoked tails

I don't understand why dark tint is considered rice, I think my raven looks a 100x better with dark tint then with light or no tint. :iono:

Never said it was rice, just describing the FR-S if someone else comes across it

I might have been a bad encounter for a fellow 86 driver I met at my gym about a week ago. I had parked next to him and we ended up leaving at the same time. Funnily enough, it was him and two friends, so three people stuffed into the 86. We talked for a bit and he asked where I lived because apparently his mom's neighbor has one (not me though), then we left. We ended up going the same way and I only have one real mod on my car, an overpipe and catless front pipe, so I'm proud of them since they're all I have.

He was behind me at a light, so when it went green I stomped it because the best sound difference is heard in the higher revs. I figured he might follow suit just for fun but nope, he just took off gently and I left him way behind. I felt pretty silly afterwards.

I think in your case you are fine. Especially if you had a civil conversation at the gym. He probably thinks that your car sounds great and would consider getting some mods himself.

If you did this without having a conversation, he might have thought you were being a douche.

We're not though. It's a $25K car, brand new. $30K if you get all the bells and whistles. Used ones are starting to show up around $20K or a little less. Every car will always have its share of douchebags, but ours just isn't priced high enough to avoid the slackjawed masses.

I used to believe that expensive cars make drivers less of a douche... I was dead wrong...

Bad behavior seems to attract further bad behavior and from other drivers too.

There was a car meet I went to and we had a caravan of 86s about 20 deep driving together to get to the destination. All of us driving respectfully, within the speed limit and in a single lane...EXCEPT this one guy.

He decided he'd rather go ahead of everyone else, weaving and speeding through traffic as he went. At some point he even got a modded Honda to speed and weave through traffic with him (I don't know if they were racing or just being douches together).

Karma caught up to his ass though, cause a few miles later he was pulled over and got a ticket for reckless driving.

Kid in a black FRS with spray painted tail lights tailgates me, then proceeds to pass me on the wrong side of the road and speeds off. I get further down the road and he's there stopped in the middle of the street and waits till I get about 20 feet from him and does a donut in the middle of the road and then drives off again...

Saw him a few times after and he looks to be maybe 17. Haven't seen him in a while so my guess is he wrecked it.

Chubby girl flipped me off today in a silver FRS, while I tried to wave. I smiled at her and she just flipped me off! Then cut me off. I...being a jerk for a few seconds was...offended. Well it hurt my small ego... My buddy in the passenger seat just giggled like a schoolgirl.

Anyhow, I downshifted to 4th (we were joining empty HWY), floored it a bit and in no time was next to her. I went around her through the left lane. She blushed a whole lot when my friend rolled his window down. So, I pulled up next to her, he rolled down his windows and flashed her (he's a big dude...like 310lb). I had fun though. At the next light I pulled next to her again and we just smiled. She was blushing and floored her car away at the green light. I laughed.

This was us when we both smiled the 2nd time.

Buying a car new for 25K doesn't make you more classy than someone who buys it for 12K five years later
