My exhaust setup produces wayyyy to much rasp. Helpppp

Sup guys. I recently installed a perrin unresonated catback. Which sounded nice by itself. So I installed my borla UEL and it sounds like total shit above say 3k Rpms. Still have a factory over pipe and front pipe. What's the best way to get rid of this rasp?

Switch out your perrin for a resonated version. You can try contacting Perrin if you can buy the resonated midpipe separately

Yup I had to do the same, get the resonated pipe and it will cure your rasp issues. Perrin will sell you just the pipe.

How much was the resonated pipe? Debating just taking the car to an exhaust shop and getting one welded in

If I remember 400-450.

The mid pipe alone will cost around 150 if you buy it from some one on the forums. I would just wait for someone wanting to trade or selling there extra mid pipe like I did. Do you have the 3" or 2.5"?

My exhaust wasn't very raspy when I had your setup but it was resonated at the time. When I installed my Perrin front pipe and overripe the resonated exhaust, isn't loud enough I don't think you will be happy with it. I had to buy a un-resonated mid pipe from Perrin and switched it out for a while until I figured out that the un-resonated mid pipe made my car sound amazing.

Just a suggestion maybe you should complete your exhaust with a catted front pipe and over pipe and see how it sounds, if you don't like it then switch to a resonated mid pipe.

You'll give up any warranty your exhaust has doing it that way. I would just try to find someone on here that will trade.

Then contact Perrin directly and see what they can do. Maybe they have a used one laying around that you can swap with them.

Perrin Performance: 1-503-693-1702, Mladden, Chris, and John are fairly active on the forums, I'd personally ask for them!

Thanks. Do you happen to know their user names on the forums by any chance?
