Hey guys,

I know this is kind of a moot point, but how's the valve-train noise around the 3500-4k range. In the previous tunes it was LOUD, I know that it's sort-of the 'nature of the beast' so to speak, but I'm just curious to see if it's been messed with. I have everything downloaded and ready to go, but won't be able to test things out until later on this coming week.

Louder than stock, quieter than 1.59. It seems to pull stronger before that, so the onset of power isn't as drastic. I don't have any VD logs to compare, but overall I would say it pulls harder through the whole dip (stock header here).

Silver Ignition 07-26-2014 09:09 AM

Which tune should us BPB guys be running? The old BPB tune or one of the new 2.0 tunes?

xxBrun0xx 07-26-2014 09:50 AM

Just took it out for a spin. Car is bone stock except tune. 93 stage 1. Initial impressions: pedal almost seems to have a larger dead zone that on v1.5 (needs more throttle to get moving smoothly from stop). Almost stalled it the first time I pulled out. Noise seems about the same, maybe a little quieter. On 1.5, power seemed to really come in at 4.5k, whereas here, seems to kick around 5.5k. Hard to tell if there's any major improvements via the butt dyno. What are the major differences for stage 1?

The dead zone happens after every flash, the ECU needs a few drive cycles to re-learn the gas pedal input range.

As for the differences, check the release notes or the thread here about 1.6b features.

can anyone here take a look at my data log ? its the 1.59V stage 1 tune A00D , not sure if its running okay, the AFR looks good but the KC Learned ? not sure if I'm in a good zone

ScionFR-S 07-26-2014 11:37 AM

just went to go download them to the OFT and it says that the V2.01 Maps are for OFH and phantom super charger =/ damn i guess ill have to wait then

Cockatoo 07-26-2014 11:37 AM

Had the stg 2 EL E85 on since yesterday and I will say I notice more low end response and it's even smoother.... But I have noticed that the idle tends to dip low occasionally especially after coming to a stop

Marusich 07-26-2014 11:52 AM

Got p0700 after reflash to 2.0b on B01D, cleared. We'll see what happens, I'll go for a drive after the squall blows through... south florida summer.

your looking at the wrong ones mate, you want the last link on page

v2.01 Beta Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Maps and XML files [USDM only]
BETA tunes files for all USDM vehicles, stock or modified. v2.0 XML files are also included. They must be used for ROM editing. Premium grade gasoline must be used. E85 fuel must be used for E85 designated tune files. Folder is in .zip format and must be uncompressed after download. These tune files are intended for competition use only. These tunes files may not be legal for street use. Please check with your local regulations.

No, he's right... the file linked only contains maps for ESC. Not sure if it's the wrong file, or what happened... but it's definitely not all the 2.0 ROMs.

YMAA 07-26-2014 12:01 PM

The link in the OP has all the correct files except for the modified 2.01 that has the definitions for LC and FFS. The last link at the bottom of the page is the one you'll want.

http://openflashtablet.com/page33/pr...ads/index.html

Not sure why the main Downloads page from the links at the top points to the ESC tune files but I'm sure Shiv will fix that later today.

HMMMMM, yes an error both links go to same maps :confused0068:

ML 07-26-2014 12:36 PM

come on, anyone have a dropbox share of the 2.01 maps and xmls until this gets fixed?!

Edit: link on his site works now.

ScionFR-S 07-26-2014 12:42 PM

Are they specified for non ESC AND OFH ?! I want to run this map but don't want any mess ups

I just went for a drive about 70 miles with mine. Not really much difference on the stage 2 UEL 93 map. Pedal is still unresponsive though so maybe after a bit it will feel better.

All engine vitals look good. No knock and I tried to get the IAM to move :D

Shiv@Openflash 07-26-2014 01:20 PM

Oopes.... Late last night I posted up new v2.01 OTS maps for the Phantom ESC folks. But go the links mixed on the website. Fixed now. Both v2.01 OTS for NA cars and v2.01 OTS for ESC cars are active and correct now.

It's not the first time I woke up and immediately found a mistake I made from the previous night ;)

ALB 07-26-2014 01:30 PM

Wait, 2.01? Weren't the maps yesterday 2.0? If I upgraded yesterday should I upgrade again?

Can't wait to load up the tune tomorrow anyway :) Too late to go load it up now, unfortunately.

Shiv, any input on this? Not seeing it in the DTC section, is there somewhere else to find it?

It looks like the new B01C/D based XML doesn't have that code defined. I'll take of that myself by the time we go non-beta. In the meantime, just be judicious on when you disconnect the OFT :)

OpenFlash Tablet: OTS v2.0 Beta (132 new maps, 12 new XMLs) Available for Dow...

I flashed to the E85 UEL as I removed my ESC for a dealer visit (don't want them refusing to do TSBs due to it being installed) and everything is great at usual! Now just ESC E85 for AT and my car will be more or less complete for awhile!

It's incredible how much free stuff you do for the community. Thanks for everything you do, Shiv!

Just got my oft yesterday. Running the stage 1 for now until I finish off this tank of 93 then going e85. Gonna attempt to download the new updates when I get home later today. :-)

xxBrun0xx 07-26-2014 02:47 PM

Stage 1, 93. After a bit more driving, car is really starting to wake up. Really impressed!

You're not alone there :D

DocWalt 07-26-2014 02:57 PM

Just tried out the 2.01 Stage 1 91 oct. map, feels great! Smoother powerband. Seems like the intake growl/valve noise is less prevalent, but extends a bit higher up in the RPM range.

ML 07-26-2014 02:59 PM

Got my map installed with LC and FFS, MAF smoothed, fan temps adjusted. Engine is ready for 86 expo. Thanks Shiv! you da man!

raven1231 07-26-2014 03:07 PM

I feel bad for Shiv. Spends god knows how long making these maps and now is getting bombarded with questions. We Love you Shiv lol thanks for everything

ScionFrsFan 07-26-2014 03:08 PM

These maps are ok for autos? lol

ScionFR-S 07-26-2014 03:19 PM

One thing I noticed right off the bat was the even more smooth idle, at a stop light legit thought the car was off haha no vibration at all !
@shiv how long would you say before the ECU fully learns the new map ?

As long as you use the "D" version and not the "C" version, yes :D
the OFT won't let you use the wrong one

euroshowoff 07-26-2014 05:59 PM

disregard.

DC2R 07-26-2014 06:19 PM

feel power difference on stage 2UEL 93.
Stalled a couple times letting clutch out. Will see if it self fixes. Thanks Shiv for all that you do!

Ok, who's on the b01c stg2 EL e85 map. I'm having some SERIOUS issues with it. Fuel trims are through the roof, AFR is dangerously lean, and it is running TERRIBLE. I am going to try the 1.59 map just to rule out the fuel, but something is way out of wack. Rom Raider is showing a ton of null variables in the various fuel sections of the 2.0 map..

Aerok 07-26-2014 07:09 PM

Updated to Stage 1 93.

Revs so much smoother than before. Didn't really notice any power increase but so much more refined.

I love it.

I'm looking at that map now and it looks fine. Are you sure you are using the new XML files provided in the download folder?

edeekeos 07-26-2014 07:36 PM

Yeah I got the new xmls loaded into rr, as well as removed the old ones. The different xmls would explain the discrepancies between the two, however, I tried reflashing the 2.0 tune, and everything is still WAY out of whack. The can feels fine below 4k but asa soon as it gets past that, it's dogs down like mad, and runs lean as hell. Sitting here waiting for the old 1.59 to flash, I'll report back asa I try it out.

MstrSHAKE 07-26-2014 07:44 PM

Gonna have to do this ASAP :D
