Then you need an SD patch for your ROM.

You think it would work on a different kit?

Aggree with other guys re tune it made for the specific kit only

as the charasteristics of the SC will be different and the maf housing will be different and the vortech kit requires a MAP sensor change to 2.5 bar omni sensor so the tune is only suited to that kit.

This will be same deal for the oft turbo kits you need to use exact same components made for the tune.

It's gonna be a pain. But on the bright side maybe it's something I could donate to shiv

rosol16 12-14-2015 08:11 PM

Can you use the OFT with the Jackson Racing kit?

riboyster 12-15-2015 01:39 AM

If I'm not mistaken, its practically the same thing. There is no tune for it on OFT

riboyster 12-22-2015 05:15 AM

So yeah...Anyone have any ideas on what TuneBot is? I have this imagination in my head that it's a program that revs your motor while taking measurements and develops a working tune for whatever you've got.
Running out of options here on tuning the supercharger.

Tunebot has not be discussed other than for us to be patient. So don't hold your breath.

Running out of options? Pretty much no tuner besides Shiv tunes with OFT. Your ONLY option is ECUTEK or something much more expensive.

riboyster 12-23-2015 04:18 AM

Eh I'll just tune it myself with OFT.

Kodename47 12-23-2015 05:50 AM

In that case I would recommend using the Vortech tune as a base but be aware you'll need to change quite a bit to do with fueling etc. It won't be a case of shoving it on and seeing if it runs. However I would expect the stuff like AVCS to be good enough, which is pretty much why I'd use it. A decent front O2 scale will also be a must.

riboyster 12-26-2015 01:39 AM

So what would the big changes be? O2 and MAF scale? Would timing change at all? AFR?

(I shot the idea of buying one at the fiancee [now that I can afford it after tons of overtime] and she gunned me down with the wrath of the Red Army)

Blah blah blah....wedding...moving fees....wedding...spending time together blah blah

- MAP sensor cal will be needed
- O2 sensor scales can be found on here, there's a good thread somewhere by @ztan
- Reduce timing everywhere above loads of 1
- MAF scales changes to make it run richer
- Tune closed loop MAF
- Tune open loop fuel
- Add timing as required

Don't get caught up in chasing a perfect MAF scale in open loop.

It'll be a lot of test and tweaking.

Hey guys, I just got OFT for xmas. I have a newer FRS and it has the F00C stock rom. I saw a RomRaider file for it but I want to be sure I'm doing things right and not being naive. Could someone help me get OFT working right? I'm going to be running 92 octane 95% of the time and I have the UEL OFH, TRD washable filter, and the TRD muffler. I already sent oft an email, but being xmas time I figure it'll be a minute before they get back to me. Thanks in advance for any help!

riboyster 12-26-2015 10:20 PM

You'll want the F00C Stage 2 91 octane tune to start.

Once you get an idea of how to use OFT, you can start looking back into this thread. There's a lot to learn here on tuning. It's a mindf**k at first, but not too bad once you get used to it.
