Can someone please check this out.

Recently my check engine light came on, code P0456 (Evaporative Emissions System)

The car seems to runs fine. I do notice on start ups the rpm rises then drops right away, then starts to idle steady.

My car is STOCK. I am running stage 2 EL E85 V2.06. Weather is starting to get a little bit colder, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Is E85 causing the problem? I'm not exactly sure what to look for, can someone check my data to make sure engine is okay!
I checked gas gap (silly stuff), so far light has come on 3 times. Once a few weeks ago, the last two within a week.

Thank you :)!

Why are you running a stage 2 EL map if your car is stock?

Don't worry, no key :(

This is what happens when you flash with no pants.

Thanks. . found the link about running that map on a stock car. . personally I still wouldn't do it, but it's his car so whatever.

P0456 is an evap leak so it's most likely your gas cap. Make sure the rubber o-ring is there and that you hear the cap click when you close it.

Dont put your running laptop on top of or near your key fob on the seat either did that the other day after flash and scared myself as car woud not start, it blocks/interfers with signal from key fob ;)

check gas cap is tight and as someone else said the ring is good and that when you open gas cap after car has been in sun you get a pressure release as tank should be a sealed circuit, if no pressure release indicates a leak in system check lines under bonnet to evap canaster are all good ect. if it persists g back to petrol and take it to dealer under warantee, some of those lines are under intake manifold and it ight actually be a prolem with the purge valve , also chech evap canister for cracks

your log looks ok , bit of knock arround 2000 rpm caused iam to drop to 0.98, and fuel trims look a bt high around 10% was that first tank of e85 ? with soe resdua petrol

I played with the gas cap but it nervousness that my datalog isn't looking good.
I have been running E85 for awhile now, I flashed to V2.06 a few weeks ago. When I was running V2.0 Beta I never had the light pop on. The light only pops on when I start car...never when im driving.

Thank you!

read oft tips link below.

you need to download the new template file from the oft downloads page and manually apply it as per instuctions on oft downloads site. also lt the oft update via internet and make sure your on open flash manager 11.1.1 as per downloads page, then all will be good. Their was a heap of oft interface updates

Where can i find the DL for CAl ZA1JD00C? Ive been looking for it for quite sometime and can't find it

akyp 11-09-2014 09:02 AM

I have recently installed a P&L catted EL header. Running OTS Stage 1 I am getting considerable FLKC: http://www.datazap.me/u/akyp/2014110...=0&data=1-4-14

Already pulled some timing following instructions in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61820

The only change was the header (did reset ECU prior to installation). Thoughts? Am I even using the correct map?
