Yeah we're going to need a couple more details on this car.

No I don't, its not my personal car, it is a R&D car at Toyota HQ here but I'll get the info. They've continuously run oil tests on it, track days, high speed continuous WOT testing etc..

The biggest enemy has been oil temp on extended WOT runs, so that's what they studying at the moment. We will be switching from the Mishimoto cooler to the larger HKS version to see the impact on that. The car is running a Mishimoto radiator as well.

And on top of this, our normal "premium" fuel is 95RON so about 90 octane and slightly worse than ACN91 ! But for the high performance testing (track days and WOT test), Torco octane booster is added.

Engine longevity seems pretty stout in other words

I'm aware of the tests you guys are doing and I'm pleased to hear that your test car is still going strong.

My RGM Vortech 86 has done about 35000 kms boosted which includes 15 track days - about 750 laps at a variety of racetracks, but mostly Midvaal and Zwartkops. Engine and drive train still feel and sound 100%.

I use Liqui Moly octane booster (one tin/tank) for track days. I don't have an oil cooler. My coolant temp maxes out at 101°C and oil temp max is 133°C. I change oil every 7500kms, and gearbox and diff oil every 15000kms.

My only problem is the rate I go through tyres and brake pads with the amount of tracking I do :)

Stock bottom end right? Still 12.5:1? What's been done to the fuel system?

It's my DD. I haven't tracked it yet, but I do punish it daily. No catch can or oil cooler. On Mobile 0w-30 Full Synthetic.

So what you are saying is that, the car is at Toyota headquarters, and is under testing? So does this mean that Toyota is considering a forced induction version? :D

Is anyone that's over 50,000 having any transmission issues? I have al ready gone through one transmission and talked to several other people that have had to have their ransmissions replaced due to bad synchros as well...I'm at the poin now that I am so worried about adding boost to my car and blowing my new tranny even sooner....has me considering trading in the car for a new mustang.

That's the sad part...I am not boosted yet. My 5th and 6th gear synchros went bad on a stock car. I talked to a local guy a week or two back and he had went through 3 transmissions all replaced by Toyota so far. It has me worried now since the plan was to add a turbo right around now since my warranty is just about up.
