mjh712's Build Thread

Figured that I would start a thread just to document everything.

Car: 2013 WRB BRZ Limited
- bought in Sept. 2013 after my other car's lease ended.
- Bought from Fred Beans in Doylestown (Review)
- 176 miles on it, Dealership sold me the car I wanted then found one matching a few hours away
- Protection Package 1: Wheel Lock Kit, Cargo Tray, Chrome Fender Trim, and Rear Bumper Applique

Daily Driver for now.

Backstory:
Long story short. I was looking at getting a new car or buying the Accord off of lease. I obviously ended up with the BRZ (my parent's ended up buying the Accord off it's lease and it's currently with my sister in New Orleans at Medical School.

First Manual, I actually agreed to sale on Labor Day (Sept 3rd) and learned to drive stick the 22nd, the day before I picked my car up from the dealership. Thanks to my friend and his 2013 Imprezza.

During the first real snowfall of the year I thought less than an inch of snow would be fine. Wrong. Got out of the development, turned into the school on the main road, and headed home. Unfortunately, I lost traction on the front left tire doing 10mph round a curb (must have hit some compacted snow) and slid into the curb.

(Pics to follow)

Also, I had to get the front wheels realigned.

Bought snow tires a few days later.

Michelin X-Ice Xi3 on 16" steel rims (bought from Tirerack)

Now, due to the fact I drive downtown through construction zones on I95 everyday, my bumper is starting to get chips. I am planning on getting the curb rash repaired, fill the chips, and then get a clear bra.
