Approximately how much boost was being pushed through it when it spiked? What was the target boost?

you install this yourself? Did the port come out as in break, or was it not threaded in all the way and fell out?
Sorry to hear man. Hope you get things sorted. |
First dyno session dyno had issues wouldnt display hp/tq graphs but left with 10/11psi 93 map and e85 15/16 psi map..drove it away had to come back to get tuned touched up and the shop had to get the mustang dyno fixed a week later..i dropped off car sun nite..i get a call in am saying they working on fueling issues should be done later get a call later in pm hey your motor blew come get it sorry we blew your car up..you still gotta pay for the tune and the ecutek lic tho which i already paid for at first dyno session...and ofcouse it was the installers fault which was me becuse wg port plugs came out but from the 7th first day of tune thru when i dropped it off back to them on sunday the 19th car ran perfectly fine with just a lil hiccups and hot start issues..basically prime motoring told me to go fuck myself left my car on street and my keys in their mailbox

It sucks, but if the wastegate port came off due to your error, the dyno operator would not be liable. If they did the install, then that's a different story.

It's tough to complain or say anything about a shop when they did not install all of the parts or did they? I'm not defending anyone I just know that doing installs yourself on "risky" parts and pieces poses a noteable risk always does. I do lots of part and pieces myself however boost being expensive and a tune being of top importance I will have a shop doing it and tuning it all of course researched and competent to the kit I'll get. |

I installed turbo kit..the injectors the fuel pump the ebc ,3 bar map and vaccum lines and clutch were installed by shop prior to tune it just seems weird to me first dyno session and 11 days of street driving the wg port plugs dont come out but on 2nd dyno attempt they all of a sudden came out on the dyno..i wasnt there during the tuning session how would i kno if they werent screwd loose to cover their asses?

Maybe their son/daughter should have taken the time to go with them like they did for their children's first car purchases? Otherwise they may end up paying for some unethical douchebag who blew his engine with a bolt-on turbo kit and then defrauded the dealer into replacing it under warranty. You can argue that only the dealer loses in such cases but in my experience it isn't the dealer or even the manufacturer who pays for that kind of fraud. Those costs are simply passed on to the consumer. |
first bad thing i've heard about prime motoring.
