Normal non recessed shift knob, solutions?

I have a non recessed knob that I came across at a can't ignore price. Problem is that it leaves the top of the collar lockout visible and the whit plastic bushing visible. Which is unsightly.

Anyone have a solution for this?

normally the manufacturer of the after market shift knob will make a lockout adapter. I have a Blox shift knob and I had to order a lockout adapter separate.

first items on the list. Check with the company that made your knob. If they do not have one just shop around and try them out :iono:

have a machine shop counterbore it if it can be chucked in a lathe

The Blox will probs work with other knobs but it may make the knob sit a little higher. maybe 1/16 to 3/16s higher.
@s0sl0w what knob did you buy?

In red, I work for them so the price was more than right. Ordered the blox reverse cover last night, even with the cover I'm under the list price for the knob. Can't beat that kinda money even if I end up not liking it.
