nice car man!!
|
Hey man firstly, the car is absolutely beautiful. Congrats. Secondly, good luck with the car in Mahwah - I'm a Bergen County guy and the cops love to get on our case. Tints all around probably don't help matters.
What level did you go on the led side markers from Diode? I feel like mine have a blueish tint to them. I'm trying to get them to match the stock LEDs as much as possible. Same with the fogs, I noticed in a few of the pics you went amber, others white? What did you do there? Thanks |

So I think my side marker lights were actually from somewhere else, because I got them earlier on before I knew of Diode Dynamics. The quality isn't really up to their standards either, since they've always randomly flickered since I installed them. I now have replacement ones from Diode that I have yet to install. I went with Cool White 6000k. In the fogs, I got amber bulbs for free since I was one of the early adopters of the $300 side mirror LEDs before they were more popular and I promoted DD a bunch. I'm glad I got them for free, because I went rallying up a mountain and one of the bulbs broke inside of the housing. The amber looked cool, but was very ineffective. I'm waiting for their Yellow XML2 bulbs to be restocked so I can have an actual effective light output. Otherwise my fog lights have always been the stock color. I've learned my lesson about having white output for forward facing lights. With all the rain and snow in Alaska, white just flashes back at you while you're driving and creates a wall of glare. I already get night blindness while driving, so I either need stock light output or yellow. I hadn't thought about yellow HIDs for my headlights until this very moment... I'm not sure how much I'd like that, but it would be VERY good at cutting through crappy weather, in theory. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/m...3_16_1_8_1.jpg |
Looking good. Thanks for the new wallpaper :]

Thanks! I wish I had more updates, but while on vacation someone cracked my front lip and the center section completely broke off. :(
It's been super dirty here too with no rain or snow, so every time I wash the car it gets dirty again within minutes. So nothing really going on until it showers more. I'll need to replace the front lip, but I need to save up for TPMS for when I switch to summer tires. Also just spent my money on replacing the clutch and pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 128GB, so funds will be a little low. Also might be switching jobs by the end of the month, but I should know for sure by the end of tomorrow with my current job. Both excited and nervous. :D |
Just parking next to some 2015 STI's.

The car looks amazing!
Where did you get these two items? I can't find them at DD's page. I have been wanting to replace those WT logos since I got the mats. STI Logo Plate for WeatherTech Floor Mats (@diode dynamics) STI Logo Plates for Cup Holders and Coin Holder (@diode dynamics) |

Yeah, the old University Center. Not sure how long it's been since you've been in Anchorage, but in my lifetime it's gone through a couple of changes. This is specifically the New Sagaya parking lot across from the University Center "Mall". I'm hoping to take some more pics after I either remove my broken front lip or get another one. Just got a new job and a nice-sized gift card from my previous job, so we'll see what happens. |

Traded Rinzler in for a 2017 Impreza Sport. It was sad, but necessary.
I haven't updated this thread in a while. April 2016 I drove from Alaska to Mahwah, NJ. Lived there until March 2017 where I moved to Stony Point, NY. I left there May 7th and drove back to Alaska. During that time I went to: Yukon Territory and British Columbia, Canada Seattle and Bellingham, WA Portland, OR Ukiah, CA Phoenix, AZ Austin, TX New Orleans, LA Atlanta, GA NYC Wicked Big Meet 2016 (participated in car show) Rhode Island Massachusetts Portland, Maine Washington DC Memphis, TN North Carolina Niagara Falls, Canada Detroit, MI Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Lafayette Tulsa, OK Monte Vista, Alamosa and Denver, CO Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks Montana Moscow, ID Kirkland, WA where I traded in the BRZ at Eastside Subaru I'll try to post up picks of my multiple adventures. Towards the end I finally got the OEM STI aero kit and I had a 2017 BRZ dash trim. Car looked pretty snazzy, but it was gonna start costing me money to maintain once I returned to Alaska. Plus my life goals focused a bit and I needed something more practical. Sorru for being absent so long. I haven't had a computer and the app would work on my phone. Even now I'm using my phone and on the Chrome browser only because @DSOmegaX updated his NASIOC thread. Lol |

Wow, you've been busy. I was just wondering how you've been doing, glad to see an update. I'm pretty bad at posting as well, I just lurk from time to time now. Well, let's see this new car of yours. It better have STi wheels or something. |
