Always happy to have fresh shots! It had been pretty warm for a while in Anchorage, almost mid-to-high 30's, so I was thrown off a bit when I went out to take these pics and it was about 7 degrees!

Thanks! Some people aren't a fan of the wheels, but they've grown on me. When I look at the 18" BBS I had, they look kinda too big. 17" seems to help with giving this car the proper sporty look.

Thank you! I'd love to drive down to SD again, especially since I reconnected with an old friend there and my cousin lives there. We shall see! I might not be moving from Alaska as soon as I had originally hoped, but eventually I WILL leave this state, and I want to do another road trip when I do. It's expensive, but it really is the experience of a lifetime! :D

I concur! 17s give it a proper stance.

nice car man!!

knandez17 03-12-2015 03:09 PM

Hey man firstly, the car is absolutely beautiful. Congrats. Secondly, good luck with the car in Mahwah - I'm a Bergen County guy and the cops love to get on our case. Tints all around probably don't help matters.

What level did you go on the led side markers from Diode? I feel like mine have a blueish tint to them. I'm trying to get them to match the stock LEDs as much as possible. Same with the fogs, I noticed in a few of the pics you went amber, others white? What did you do there?

Thanks

Thanks man! I just got back from my East Coast visit and road trip back to Alaska and I've officially decided to stick it out in Alaska for another year or two while I focus on paying my car off and modding it. Mahwah was pretty nice! East Coast is kinda crazy, but it's MY kind of crazy! I'm hoping to make a trip over there next year with the BRZ.

So I think my side marker lights were actually from somewhere else, because I got them earlier on before I knew of Diode Dynamics. The quality isn't really up to their standards either, since they've always randomly flickered since I installed them. I now have replacement ones from Diode that I have yet to install. I went with Cool White 6000k.

In the fogs, I got amber bulbs for free since I was one of the early adopters of the $300 side mirror LEDs before they were more popular and I promoted DD a bunch. I'm glad I got them for free, because I went rallying up a mountain and one of the bulbs broke inside of the housing. The amber looked cool, but was very ineffective. I'm waiting for their Yellow XML2 bulbs to be restocked so I can have an actual effective light output.

Otherwise my fog lights have always been the stock color. I've learned my lesson about having white output for forward facing lights. With all the rain and snow in Alaska, white just flashes back at you while you're driving and creates a wall of glare. I already get night blindness while driving, so I either need stock light output or yellow. I hadn't thought about yellow HIDs for my headlights until this very moment... I'm not sure how much I'd like that, but it would be VERY good at cutting through crappy weather, in theory.
