Any info on the new Imprezas?

I haven't seen many news lately of new imprezas but anyone got scrap info about any new imprezas? Especially since the WRX is going to branch away.

I think Tranz bought one, but I haven't seen him post on here in a while.

Yeah, impreza is it's own vehicle now. The WRX isn't based on the same chasis anymore. The WRX and STi are both said to keep their current designs for another 2 model years. (2013 and possibly 2014 wrx/sti)

They got redesigned for this year didnt they?

They've just become another econobox wonder from Subaru now that the WRX and STI are splitting away.

IF you must know, the only real recent knews ive heard was about the turbo FA20 they had in the upcoming new Legacy. 270hp (i think could have been more) turbocharged, no D4S (using standard DI) and i think it redlines at a pretty low 5500rpm or something.

Hasn't been any real news for awhile. Knowing Subaru they wait till the last moment for any info or teasers. Unlike the scheduled info leaks for the 86/BRZ during production due to Toyota's market strategies.

From the last press conference, a variant of the FA20 that will be turbocharged and not feature D4S was the powerplant they were looking at. What they where discussing was wither to go upscale? or Hardcore? Which begs the question if it will share anything from the Zx6 platform.

My guess is they will go hardcore, with a lighter more agile 2 door coupe, and a more tuned AWD system. But hoping at a starting price of 30k and 40k for the STI models. (current WRX -WRX STI models have a 12kUSD difference).

Which will move away from the price bracket of the BRZ and let Subaru enjoy a better presence of the upscaled performance models of the Legacy.

Performance : WRX>LEGACY>BRZ

Luxury: LEGACY>BRZ>WRX

Economy: BRZ>LEGACY>WRX

PRICE: WRX>LEGACY>BRZ

Damn... I really like the Impreza WRX STI. I just don't like its fuel economy. Lol

If I compare it between the Countryman turbo vs the Impreza WRX STI the countryman takes it. I just don't fancy BMW's maintenance issues.

:/

Edit: Also the Impreza 2.0 sports limited is... CVT. :(
