Hi everyone, I have for sale a set of OEM taillights that have been cut open and the housing sprayed black. These give the rear end of the 86 a very mean look. This modification is relatively difficult as unlike the headlights that are sealed together with adhesive, the taillights are plastic welded and require very precise cutting to open cleanly. These are not perfect as you can see some of the cuts towards the bottom of the taillight through the plastic however overall they look great. There is also some sort of mark inside the passenger side taillight but it's only visible up close, it's notated in the pictures. I had these on my FR-S for about 6 months but ended up trading the car in. I can't guarantee against condensation but I never experienced any through numerous car washes as well as driving in the rain. I am asking $120 shipped in the US for the pair. These are bolt on plug and play and do not include bulbs but do include upgraded gaskets from gasketninja.com. If you have any questions please let me know, thanks for looking! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_001.jpg This is how the taillights look installed. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140301_006.jpg This is how they looked on the car at night. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140405_001.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_002.jpg If you look closely you can see the cuts on the inside. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_003.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_005.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_006.jpg Not exactly sure how this mark got there, it's on the inside and you can see it close up. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_007.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_008.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_009.jpg The upgraded gaskets are much thicker and higher quality. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_010.jpg I used plenty of silicone RTV to seal the headlights and avoid condensation. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_011.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...140721_012.jpg |

I'm pretty interested. Got any pictures with the lights on at night?
|
Unfortunately I don't but here is a few more at night without them on, if I still had the car I'd take a few but that's no longer the case

It's hard to tell, is the black you used gloss or flat?
|
I believe I used satin black so it should be in between gloss and flat. I can check when I get home.

They look fine in the pictures, is there any hazing or scratches on the lens?
As long as the lens are free of damage and theres no visible chrome through the paint il take them. Id pay $135 to help with shipping. That is a very low price. |
