Best Car Care Supplies or Kit?

Hi All,

I'm wanting to keep my new baby nice and clean, but am having trouble deciding what kind of care supplies/kit I should get. Since it's a new car I know that a lot of the cheaper items can damage the finish. Wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for what they've used in the past.

Prima Epic. Great polymer wax.

Wolf's Chemicals. Zymol. Sonax. Klasse. There are lots of options and everyone finds something different that works for them. I have learned a lot from autopia.org.

Go to this site and prowl around a bit. They sell good stuff and have a forum to answer all your questions.

For starters, Meguiars come highly recommended. their ultimate quick detailer will be your best friend for a new car.

These guys have too much of my money now. I've placed two orders, and both qualified for free shipping :)

Tip: I found a 20% off coupon here: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/autogeek.net

I also found out that they look at your total before the coupon to see if you get free shipping! This last bit isn't too helpful though, because the free shipping deal ends in about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

It looks like you have either an Asphalt or Raven FR-S, based on your avatar. I recommend Blackfire Wet Diamond. Its a sealant, so you apply this before a wax.

I use it on both of my cars, and it lasts about 3 months before the surface slickness starts to dissipate. I love the gloss and depth it adds. Its easy to apply too. You can do it by hand, but I use my Porter Cable with a black finishing pad to do the entire car in about 15 minutes. Let it haze, then buff off. You can layer it too.

Stay away from waxes that have fillers. They hide scratches for awhile, but once the first rain storm passes through, the scratches will show once again.

For waxing/polishing and sealing I love Klasse products. Fantastic stuff.

Plus I get my stuff from eshine.ca. They carry all top quality stuff.

Since I'm in an apartment without access to a proper hose and washing station I've been using Meg's Quick Detailer about every 5 days to clean and some of their NXT Wax twice since picking it up two weeks ago. Both have done excellently in a pinch.

Got some ONR on the way to test either No Rinse or even No Wash depending on how easy it is to move the wash bucket down two flights of stairs (covered parking) :)
