Lost the air bleeder plug. Help!
I was following this DIY Guide on checking and replacing the engine coolant on the DIY forum, and I lost the air bleeder plug.
This one right here: http://www.grimmspeed.com/content/im...iy/figure7.jpg Long story short, I unscrewed it a bit too much, and it fell into some parallel dimension. I'm pretty sure it did, I moved my car out the garage, moved everything it might have rolled under, and still no sign. Toyota doesn't have it in stock, and it's a 4-6 week wait, and it costs $50 to get it. Villagescionparts.com has it for $23, but with the S&H to Peru I'm still bound to pay $50, so can anyone take a picture of the plug and the dimensions so I can just buy any other bolt that fits there while my part ships over? |
If there's an o ring on it should be a normal metric thread, if there's no oring it's probably a tapered thread. I'd guess 3/8" NPT if so.

It's probably still in the engine bay. Flip the car over and shake it and I bet it will fall out.
Seriously though, more searching in the engine bay may be quicker than ordering a new one. |
I dropped a socket and it ended up on the plastic panels under the car. I had to take them off and there it was. Try taking those off and see if it falls out.
