Analog speedometer

Does anybody use the analog speedometer? I laughed when i realized it takes 90mph to get the analog needle not to point down. It sure would of been a good place to put a oil pressure gauge, or a cool G meter/lap timer.:burnrubber:

I do when doing pulls because the digital one can't keep up lol

Didn't even notice it really until someone testing out my car pointed it out.

Not sure if its just mine.. But my analog speedometer is off by like 1mph.

that can be calibrated with techstream - FYI

Nope, I never look at it especially with the digital read out. I'm used to digital speedometers since the very beginning.

most useless placement for a speedometer ever IMO.

You must not like the GT-R's gauges either.

verywisegnome 07-17-2014 11:39 AM

I set my digital readout to KPH. That way I have the analogue gauge if I want to see my speed in MPH.

I think on RHD Toyota 86 it would be useful placement as your eyes go in that direction, but not on LHD.

The tricky part is getting back used to an analog speedo in a car without a digital gauge...
