Winjets on Monogram/10 Series

Just wondering if anyones actually installed the Winjets onto the Monogram/Series 10? There are slight differences between the stock ones on the Monogram and the Winjets, although I personally prefer the look of the Winjets more, I don't know what the performance differences are, or if there are any wiring differences. I removed the Winjets that came with the Morimoto HIDs from fteightysix club off my first FR-S and now they are sitting in a closet waiting to be sold, but I'm starting to have doubts about selling them, mostly because they are "more black" than the stock ones. Just don't know if the light output is the same.

Nobody is stupid enough to swap their OEM lights for Failjets.

^then I guess I will be that person stupid enough to do so.

Why do you prefer the winjets over OEM? :iono: Its a downgrade IMO.

Switching from JDM headlights to Windjets?! O.O You know how much we hate you right as a normal version owner thats wants the JDM headlights lol XD

mostly for cosmetic reasons as I stated I don't know what the performance differences are.

If your going for cosmetic (no chrome look), do like a few of the monogram/10 series/JDM folks I've seen and paint the housings.

I'll buy your OEM headlights off of you.

I had 2 FR-S, so I have both headlights, which is why I even have that luxury.

Painting them has been the best suggestion but I would prefer not having to bake and open them in case i need them for future related issues. It is a good thing I have the OEM ones from my first FR-S lying around. However this has been the best reply thus far and I will most likely take this route.

And I have no intention in seling my OEMs regardless of what I plan to do with the headlights.

As an owner of JDM headlights who is swapping them for Spyders (which don't particulary like) I should say that the only reason for doing that is if you need turn signals within the headlight. Otherwise I don't understand why. Just paint the stock ones if you want the blackout look. Winjets are effectively just cheap replicas of the stock JDM headlights.

Let me know if you want trade your headlight with HID for my Winject Blackout headlight with HID.

He said he isnt getting rid of the OEM light (NOT JDM at all just because they look the same theyre not JDM [call it an 86 headlight that would be accurate]they have a US DOT number on them making them USDM stop being ignorant)

Honestly I have winjets that were chrome painted them to replicate the look of the 10 Series/monogram/86 headlight.... the quality is slightly better then some of the APC headlights Ive seen in the past...they fit well, the light output out of the box with a HID kit installed is better then the regular FR-S headlight....as long as the DS2 bulb is in there right side up....my kit came with the bulb upsidedown so I had to modify the base of the bulb other then that nothing had to be done to get them working right. The fitment of the light is near OEM...I dont think it was money wasted at all...Unless you're a Snob and have to have OEM lights these are great.

This hurts my head. The projectors in the winjets are shit
