Racesengs new Hybrid Shifter knobs for FRS/BRZ

So I just received my hybrid. For those that like the slammer or Ashiko but perhaps didn't like the heat they held these might be of interest to you. The Delrin outer is interchangeable they have different colors available which is neat. Comes with two pieces (threaded adaptor) to get the positioning square etc...

Onto some pics. The weight makes for some smooth feeling shifting indeed.

These look good. Thanks for the pictures; I've been curious about these myself.

Loved that these are two piece, and stay cool to the touch. Didn't love that they're 100+ grams lighter than my standard Slammer (I guess some tradeoff is inevitable, different materials and all). I would have traded for one of these in a heartbeat if the weight stayed the same. Instead I picked up a thermal bag/cover that seems to be doing pretty well. All things being said I'm very happy with my Raceseng products and would reccomend them to anyone.

Nice......waiting on my new mirror finish Ashiko knob with the engraved wastegate. It will be black with a red reverse lockout

Where you bought the TRD handbrake cover?
It matches very well.
Thanks.

I was looking at these, they look nice. I just don't know that I could give up my 1.62 lb Ashiko ;)

Is the lip pretty smooth on the delrin where it opens up in the center?
Wondering if it has a hard edge on your hand when shifting.

Very smooth finish overall nothing catches while in use. It kinda encourages a different way of shifting that I'm finding I like. With some previous knobs I was clutching hand core over where as I find I finger side shift now "if that makes sense?" Not likely lol..hard to explain.

Looks great! I may have to get this and sell my Slammer.

Just curious, but where did you get a thermal bag/cover? I have the same issues with my Anarchy Motive knob. The SoCal heat has been making my knob impossible to touch after a couple hours in the sun.

For the time being, I've just been covering it with a soda can cozy that I use for my drinks. It's worked out to be an okay system in fact. Slip the cozy onto my drink so they don't rattle around in the cup holder, and when I head into the office and take my drink with me, I transfer the cozy to my shift knob.
