For those who ordered at Richmond Subaru
 

Hi guys, I finally dropped my deposit today on a SWP Sport-tech at Richmond Subaru.

Just wanted to know how many of you ordered at this dealership? if so, what transmission, trim, and colour? If possible also, which # you are in line?

Reason I ask is because I have a feeling that the sales guy gave me wrong info to hook in a deposit. So I just want to validate the information I got.

Also, according to him, their allotment is dependant on how many orders they received from customers. Richmond Subaru is expecting 8-10 cars from the 100+ cars across Canada in the first batch. 600 cars for the rest of the year. Also he mentioned Subaru Canada have no intention of holding the cars until some kind of launch date (previously rumoured to be July).

What I found most strange is that he said majority of the pre-orders are for WRB and automatic transmission... I was expecting to hear 90% manual SWP.

I'm in no hurry to get the car so long as I get it this year before September. But I would like to gather some accurate information in regards to this location. Hope someone here can shed some light.

Peter was the one I dealt with. He's new there. And yes, he did mention that the ETA will be early to mid June.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's lying. But I find it hard to believe that I'm dropping the deposit so late and still get a place in the 1st BRZ shipment as he claims I would. Perhaps not as many people ordered in Richmond as I thought?

Richmond Subaru has a very bad reputation that's probably why and I would never order a car from them

If you want a WRB 6MT non sport tech you should call Specialty Subaru in North Van they are getting one and the guy who put the deposit on it withdrew
