Spec D headlight HID Install instructions/wiring?

I have a set of Spec D Headlights and HIDs. I'm wondering if anyone has pictures or install instructions for the HIDs? I've searched and haven't been able to come up with anything.

I bought Spec D headlights and a Morimoto HID kit for my car and did the entire install myself based on separate YouTube videos on how to install Spec D headlights and how to install the Morimoto HID kit and sort of just combined the two together and did the entire install; took longer than it should have but thats due to my inexperience.

Just follow the step-by-step process in the videos and install should go okay. I bought an HID kit with D2-S Bulbs which meant I had to do some modification to the bulb housing on the Spec-D headlights so the wiring harness could fit properly (basically I had to cut out part of the black plastic housing).

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer!

Thanks. I followed those instructions and just completed the install. Took about 2hrs. It was the wiring of the HID to the headlight that I didn't get. Those videos did help!

Glad to hear! If you haven't already noticed, you'll soon realize that the term 'you get what you pay for' REALLY applies when it comes to these lights

speedfactory videos

Dunno if this helps, they have installation video for the Spec D.

As for the HID, in the video, the host shows you where to drill a hole at the back of the bulb cover for the HID wires.

My HID package came with a rubber cover. Just make sure the hole you drill is the right size (or just a bit smaller) so moister doesn't go in.

What issues are you noticing or having?

Only issue I've had thus far is the one turning signal working intermittently, however that could be due to a lose connection (I really don't want to go through the hassle of ripping my bumper off again to check)....other than that everything has been working great!

I just returned the morimoto d2s I had bought because I'm not about to cut up the housing just to make it fit. Will keep looking for other options.
