Top speed

Hi guys,
I wanted to try my 86 with the top speed and I could only reach up to 185 km . It wouldn't give more! What would the problem be?
And I don't really feel there is power in my car, is this normal?

Here's a list hope it helps
NOS the big bottle
Wait better make it 2 of them
Next you'll need a laptop to set up the stages of the NOS
Make sure you pay attention if the lap top warns you of any manifold problems
Don't just slam it shut and tell it to shut up
Don't drive with too heavy of a foot either
And please don't blow the welds on your manifold intake or exhaust (especially the plastic ones on the intake manifold)
Don't blow yourself up
Hope that helps have fun :)

Aren't Middle-East models limited to 180km/h or something?

There are many factors that limit top speed. The most important one is if your IAM has dropped low. This happens if your running lower octane fuel. To fix this you need to make sure the fuel you run is of sufficient octane not to lower IAM (IAM should be 1 all the time). If your IAM is at 1 then you should be able to hit at least 225 km/h. After this the speed limiter kicks in a starts to close throttle from 100% to 50% (see my post linked below). To fix this you have to remove the top speed limiter via ecu mapping. I am from bahrain so also have a Middle East car and I can get my brz to 245km/h easily.
Two other things effect top speed. First is if you have a body kit on your car your top speed will be down by a lot. Second is if you have big wheels (width and diameter) this would reduce your achievable top speed too.

That's strange, I had the AT top out at around 210 km/h, my manual goes up to ~230km/h, both according to the speedo. Considering your location I got two ideas:
Maybe the air filter is clogged or something?
How was the ambient temperature while you tried?

185 is almost certainly speed limiter. these cars hit that no problem. the speed limit in these cars is very smooth so you barely notice you hit it. its not sudden like some cars.
