Valenti Rear Bumper Light

Just a quick question to those who have installed the rear bumper light - are they plug and play like the tail lights? I've seen conflicting descriptions on how they are installed. Some say they are plug and play, and some say there is some splicing and rewiring to do?

Physically it is plug&play but how it functions depends on the car specs. In the US cars there is no rear fog light function, so after install it's basically just reverse light. For EUDM and (I believe) for Australian cars the triange and the V-light act together as the rear fog light. If you want the triange and the V-light to act differently (and separately)you have to re-wire (and even modify the internals) and there are different options of re-wiring (use search).

Ahhh thanks for that

Hmm looks like there's no way to re-wire it without opening up the housing? I've installed it as plug and play but just wished the V Bar would light up with the headlights/taillights instead of only with the rear fogs on with the triangle.

Bit scared to take it off again cos the I accidentally broke off the bottom clip from the original taillight when I removed it..

Yep. No way to separate them w/o opening the case.
