PS this is how mine looks next to a 2013 SWP BRZ, and 2015 SWP FRS. The 3 shades of white!

Oh why oh why???

I prefer the regular satin pearl look. The factory paint looks satin enough for me, but as long as you like the look then good for you. I don't understand the black roof. I've seen people do it and I just don't get it.

Every one's car is glossy... I never liked glossy therefore I made a white black scheme

SWP isn't glossy...hence why it's called Satin White.
I guess it's too late for you to look now, but if you were next to a SWP with factory paint you'd notice you can't see a clear reflection of yourself. Stand next to a black BRZ and you'll clearly see your reflection in the paint.

Here's an example of how you can clearly see reflections in gloss paint, as opposed to SWP where the reflection is not obvious through the satin finish. Either way, as long as you like the look then that's all that matters.

Your main goal is to make this car looks great; and you're sharing this on a forum for other to appreciate the time/money you have spent doing it.

Now come the non-understandable part.
When it comes about sharing the end result, why did you use a low resolution iphone photo in a dirty underground parking at night time?

Did you use plastidip? I was looking at do matte white with the pearlizer. Looks good though.

It would look amazing with a set of black wheels IMO

I can't stand the SWP but I love a pure white. I'm not entirely sure about the matte white because the picture isn't high resolution but it seems to look pretty good. I'd have to agree with diode dynamics that some black wheels would look great on it.

To hide the terrible overspray and peeling from the rattle can job, obviously.

Sorry op, this looks like complete shit prob the worst car I've seen on here so far.

Hey, as long as you like it tho!

rixter145 07-11-2014 01:39 PM

Calm down guy. It just finished plastidipping so there still needs to be some clean up. Will get higher res photos soon enough! I did a quick snap cuz I couldn't stop sharing the excitement, clearly I should've waited.

I must admit, yes SWP is not as glossy but I still never liked reflection much. Thanks though :)

From what I can see, I like it! It's hard to tell from the picture quality though. I've always been a fan of matte anything. Kudos to you rixter145... I'll be wrapping mine soon in matte army green, or black. Haven't decided yet.
