Left Door Rattle

Hi,

I'm new to the FRS world... just got my 2014UM/A6 yesterday.

I got the 'Bongiovi' audio 'upgrade'.

I think the audio quality isn't too bad. Mids and highs are fine, low end bass not so much.

Which brings me to my point. The left door speaker area has a slight rattle somewhere. It's only noticable on some frequencies, mostly on the lower end.

I'm not sure I'm want to take it to the dealer and wait several hours for them to look a something that is probabaly minor, and perhaps just an idiosyncrasy, or perhaps something I can fix myself.

Has anyone noticed this issue before? Any potential 'fixes'??

i have a similar issue with my passenger side door. i was able to determine that it is the actuator in the door that is hitting the plastic panel. when i lock the door, the rattle is gone.

try locking your door and see if the issue is resolved. if it is; actuator on plastic

Holy Moly.

That is exactly what it was.

This forum is worth it's weight in gold.

Thanks a buzzillion.
