I was unable to extract the stud so I drilled it out and used a 10 x 1.25 tap to rethread it. Then the tap SNAPPED INSIDE THE FLANGE ON THE OVERPIPE. I had to drill that out and put a new bolt in it. After reading on the forums about how people got their overpipes out, mine was surprisingly easy. Once the heat shield was removed I was able to slide it out the front. It was easy to remove and reinstall. I was unable to get the top part of the heatshield on the frontpipe side back on because of the bolt I had to put in.
