Well, It Finally Happened

Just when it felt like it had been a while since I read a story of a twin getting hit in a parking lot, it happened, but to me this time. Apparently the other driver couldn't see my car as she was backing up, and I didn't see her until it was too late. It could've been worse, it missed the trunk and the taillights. On the bright side, her '81 Ford van was fine.Attachment 84429

Sorry mate :(

That scenario is exactly what happened to me, the dudes truck was fine but it demolished my fender.

Looks like its only the bumper cover, thats a plus!

Jegan_V 07-09-2014 01:25 AM

Indeed, if its only the bumper cover the only damage is cosmetic only which is the best case scenario when your car actually does get hit. A 81 Ford van...any car from that era had a bumper made for actually bumping into things rather than crumpling. Oh well, she's probably going to be livid when she realizes a piece of plastic cost more than her whole vehicle.

Ha, that made me laugh. I would be very surprised if it went deeper than the bumper cover, she wasn't going very fast.

Mines been hit in the rear 3 times. Twice at a red light and once someone backing up backed up way to far right into the rear of the car. Smh, it really seems like when you have something nice ppl just want to mess it up. On the other hand it's been replaced or fixed every time with no out of pocket to me, and I'm starting to know my body guy pretty well.

Look on the bright side. At least it wasn't a hit and run!

.22? I have took a 50 cal to the rear, helps reduce parachuting effect at 200MPH.

As sad as it is to day. Ive seen a few of these at a junk yard. 1 in your color located in Portland. I'll drive by and see if it's still there and see what it would cost just for the bumper. (Car had front end damage)

Hot lava is a hard one to come by. I don't see them on the road often as is.

But as for that ultramarine. It wasn't there when I went to go look. But all I could do is peak through their gate as they were closed when I remembered to go look.
