I'm interested in the working solution for this. I've run into issues with cat piss and have found it's extremely, extremely difficult, borderline impossible to remove. Fortunately none have been in my car... I wish you all the luck in the world!
Worst case, interior parts are all replaceable without too much difficulty. Even the floor liner, it's tedious and time intensive to remove all the plastic panels, clips, and seat brackets, etc, but not difficult. |

Thanks I'll definitely post my results and how things turn out. Very reassuring to hear the interior is not to hard to replace. Once I find the problems areas with the black light i could just replace those parts if nothing seems to work. Thanks for that idea. Very helpful :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Natures Miracle. - check it out.
http://www.natures-miracle.com/produ...rine-odor.aspx Always test surfaces to be treated for color fastness by applying to a hidden area and wiping with a cloth. If color is removed from the test area, do not use Nature’s MiracleŽ Just for Cats™ Urine Destroyer on this surface. Always use Nature’s MiracleŽ Just for Cats™ Urine Destroyer at full strength for best results. Use Nature’s MiracleŽ Just for Cats™ Urine Destroyer before any other product as cleansers and detergents may chemically “set” the stain. Nature’s MiracleŽ Just for Cats™ Urine Destroyer is not recommended for use on silks, leather, or suede. |
youre better than me!! I would have told my gf youre out of your damn mind to think i would let your stinky ass cats in my brand new car caged or uncaged! lol I would have made her caged them up in the uhaul cabin right there where her feet were. and how could you not want 15hrs of silence ;P lol So relaxing.
Sorry this happened bro! hopefully it comes out! PS: I hate cats :) |

While most all cats hate to be in moving cars, they often feel safer if they're in those travel kennels vs. being allowed to roam about the car.

The cat is clearly marking it's territory.
OP, you have two options: 1) Pee on your car to reclaim that territory and/or 2) Pee on the cat to assert your dominance This is the only way to regain control of your life. |
For odor absortion, you can try a bag of REGULAR charcoal briquettes, NOT MATCH LIGHT !!!!... REGULAR kind. Slit bag down the middle and spread it open a little. This also works for refrigerators/freezers if you're going to store them for a while. It won't remove the stink from the source, but it will absorb it. Probably the only way to get rid of it at the source is to remove/replace whatever got pissed on.

only home remedy that closely worked was vinegar and water... but that sucked more.
I definitely suggest getting nature's miracle -- a gallon for 17 dollars at pet club. get the Advanced formula (red bottle). You will carry it with you everywhere if you have a pet. My dog does not go in my 86 ever. he's allowed to pounce on my camry though =) |
Thank you for the further suggestions. They will be added to my arsenal when I go at it this weekend. Got a hand held black light today so step one complete. And that you for the laugh @Cliu91. Told my gf and she said to definitely pee all over the cats. Haha

Next time put the cat under the hood!

So I ended up using this stuff. So far it seems like it's working. I just applied heavy second coat on the problem spot and I'm letting it sit over night so the enzymes have time to do their thing. Both coats I absolutely soaked the area. Well see how it does tomorrow morning

Nice, I hope it works, we've tried a few sprays that claimed to eliminate odor but they've all been empty promises to some degree. This stuff looks promising after finding some reviews online... Where did you find it?
