Tyre Legalities in Victoria

Hi guys,
Currently, I am interested in getting new rims, and subsequently, new tyres for my 86. I've been looking at "Work Wheels CR KIWAMI 5-100 18x9.5 +38" rims, and I was just wondering if these are legal in Victoria?
Do they protrude from the wheel guards?
What tyres are recommended so that they don't protrude out?

Here's the link to the aforementioned rims :

Sorry in advance for my ignorance on this topic.

Cheers
Michael

Pop down to Import Monster at Bayswater and have a chat to Aaron. He knows these cars inside out (in terms of mods, wheel fitments, etc) and will be able to give you a hand with it.

I think you will find legal fitment in Victoria is the +1 deal eg +1" dia and +1" width over standard = 18 X 8

Same all over Australia - no more than +1" in either dimension from the largest option offered from the manufacturer. Now the annoying thing there is, Subaru offers the STi wheel in 17x7.5, which means 8.5 wide is legal on a BRZ, but technically not on an 86...

Also, technically, cars below 1200kg tare can't increase more than 0.5" - a manual GT is 1194...
