Shady dealer tactics. I've been on their interest list for awhile and are the only dealer in socal that seems to be out of the loop on information...until today. They've been very friendly up to this point.

They listed out that all the FR-S coming in will have all accessories installed (rear bumper applique, etc), BUT what makes things even more hilarious is that the dealer claims that ALL their FR-S' will have upgraded "wheels and spoiler" installed at the port, and will be an additional $4000 charge.

I inquired exactly what this "spoiler" they're adding is, cause Scion isn't offering such an accessory option at this time. Same goes for any wheel upgrades. Dealer has no clue apparently. Unless it was the FiveAxis kit...but anyway, avoid? Blacklist?

Five Axis kit is NOT available port installed. It is the only spoiler available (as of June 1).

There is NO TRD Wheel Option (yet). An 18-inch TRD Wheel will be available in the future (I heard end of year, but no confirmed date).

The only PPO (Port Installs) as of 5/25 are:

Is the spoiler in the ordering system yet? Like could I ask a dealer to put in an order for it in the paint color of my car, and then purchase it and install it myself once it comes in?

A dealer here in San Jose is installing Stereo equipment and saying it's "a port installed" thing. Custom subwoofer in the trunk, $1,000 worth of crap for their first batch of cars. I didn't think Toyota had anything, so this is entirely on the dealer and is a big markup.

Spoiler will be available through the Scion Optomize program (http://www.optomizescion.com/) or from Five Axis (they have to sell to your dealer). Should be available mid-June (first few will be shipped as part of the full aero kit).

The audio system is probably from http://www.oemaudioplus.com/ - epic sound upgrade and the subwoofer box is removable for track days (easily removed). Again, not a port installed option. It's dealer installed.

Seriously, this is what creates sales failures and makes corporate think that people don't want the cars...moron dealerships, they turn off so many people when this pull this garbage (4K worth of required and probably tacky add-ons):slap:

Before I got off the phone with them, I said thanks but no thanks and will inform the FR-S online community about their awesome dealership. :P

nah I'm going with the FR-S. funny how that car is still on the lot. Drove by Irvine Subie again this morning and spotted it still there. Did you bite?

I'm suppose to get mine on tuesday...so i'll just have to wait and see...but thats crazy..i bet some one will buy it pretty soon :D
