Trans/diff fluid recommendations: Motul Gear 300, Extra-S, or..
 

Going to be replacing both fluids soon and I'm trying to decide what to go with. My brother uses Extra-S in his Legacy GT and says it's great. I read on the boards that its good, but doesn't hold up as good\long as Motul Gear 300. And can these fluids be used in both the trans and diff?

Can anyone give me some recommendations?

Motul 300 can be used in both trans and diff, and it comes with a nifty flexible nozzle so you don't have to use a fluid pump. Plus it smells like feet, so you know it's good.

Motul makes a 300LS for all your limited slip needs, but the regular 300 works quite well already.
