Manzo Catback Exhaust

I went ahead and went the cheaper route and bought a Manzo catback exhaust.
The shipping took a while since it was delayed due to weather conditions but i finally got a chance to install it.

First impressions: Welds look very nice, and the tips actually look amazing.
It has perfect fitment and everything came with the exhaust to make the installation easy. I did notice a leak coming from where the overpipe and muffler piping attaches. The clamp that was provided didn't give enough force to give it a good enough seal.

I took a trip to autozone and got some different clamps, usually seen on intakes and such.

The new clamps gave it a better seal than the ones that came with the exhaust. though it still has a very SMALL leak, it is way better than the old one.

the sound isn't much of a difference from stock. From the cabin, it sounds almost the same. From outside is where you notice most of the difference. Its not loud at all but gives off a deep sound to it. I personally wish it was louder, i will be adding headers and switching out overpipe and front pipe.

Those worm-gear hose clamps are a very poor choice for exhaust system duty. Get yourself some proper exhaust clamps or at least a good T-bolt clamp.

Thanks for the info, for as I am pretty new to exhausts and all.
Can you recommend me some clamps that would be better?

I have the same exhaust, and yes it is quiet. I think it's going to sound great with headers.

Did you have any leaks? If so what did you do to fix?
And you can find more pics of the girl on Instagram at _lexiikelley

I see you got the version 1 of the Manzo Catback. I bought the version two thinking it would not be that loud, and boy was I wrong. The V.2 has 2.75" piping and it sounds more like a 3" than a 2.5"

Quality is really good for the price and the sound is amazing BUT if you are looking for something a little louder than stock, get the version 1. If you are looking for something that is loud like the EVO 3, then get the version 2.

My only complaint would be with the original hardware that comes with the kit. I ended up just getting new hardware and tossed the originals.

Looking good! Wish I could get my girl to pose next to my car :(

But i did get her to buy a fiesta st over a mazda 2 or 3, or a hyundia, so i guess you win some lose some :iono:

I added the PLM overpipe and PLM free flow cat to my Manzo exhaust and I think the sound is excellent. And you are right, the fitment is very good. I am really pleased with the quality of this exhaust.

The Fitment of my exhaust was real good. I still need to do some minor tweaking because Im OCD but both tips protrude evenly out of the exhaust cut outs in the bumper and the spacing all around looks good.

Very under rated company / product, especially when you factor in what you pay

A stainless steel U-clamp should do the trick. I've seen them locally at Pep Boys and on-line from Jegs, Summit, Amazon, etc. A SS band clamp or T-bolt clamp should also work well. Just make sure you get the correct size clamp for that pipe junction.
