Do you guys think it's cheesy? I put it on to cover a scratch I put on the dash panel

If you like it who cares what we think. It's no worse than the standard silver - I actually dislike the brz silver. Not bad, and nice job putting it on!

That's exactly what I did to mine! I like it. I want to wrap the panel surrounding the gauge cluster too. I saw someone plastidip all 3 panels and it looks great.

It was a BRZ, so it was all silver instead of the faux carbon/ Toyota T texture the FRS has.

I've seen some textured vinyl faux carbon I think is pretty cool. It's obvious it's not real carbon fiber, but the texture reflects light in a nice pattern and it feels nice to the touch. I consider it in the same category as any other textured plastic/vinyl finish on an interior part. That looks like what this is.

The printed black/silver faded faux carbon should be avoided like the plauge, its so ugly it's a sin. Fucking terrible. :barf:

Yes the dashpad use to be silver,

I used the 3M Carbon fiber vinyl wrap 1080. It wasn't too bad, just use a hair dryer / heat source to wrap it round the sharp edges and lines.

It look a lot better then the silver IMHO. the texture isn't too bad. Price wise I got a 5' X 1' roll for $17 shipped and took my time and had it done in 1 hour.

Looks great. I think that's how the new 2015 FR-S comes.

I ordered this after seeing this not to mention it was $8 bucks. Any Tips?

Love it - think it looks better the faux CF the FR-S has, and WAY better than OEM silver on the BRZ

Clean job!

Patience and make sure its a clean surface and use a hair drier to heat it up and mold the vinyl around the edges.

Agree. Patience is key. I have heard that wiping the surface with alcohol is a good idea, but I would check with someone who has done it first.

I popped The Plates off today and it should be here tomorrow. Ill report back.
