preparation for clear bra install
Hi all,
Was looking for opinions on what I should I have done prior to my upcoming clear bra install. I don't think the installer does a paint correction before the install...should I have this done before then? Or is it possible to do paint correction over a clear bra? (probably a stupid question) Thanks in advance. |

Prior to installations we recommend a good wash and clay bar. You want to remove any wax/sealant/coating that may affect the adhesion with the paint protection film. Also, with some paint protection films, they will hide existing scratches and swirl marks as long as the paint isn't missing. Just a good wash and clay bar and you're good to go. |
Polish if highly recommended after clay bar, due to it causing marring (more swirls) in the clear. So yes, color correct before instal (clay bar is always the first step).
If you already had it installed and looks good, then don't worry about it. It's not permanent. |
