White tire lettering
I was able to pull off the white lettering on my current tire. The letters are embossed so it made cleaning up the overflow easy. I think it came out well.
Oil based tire pen from ebay, let it dry, then sanded the overflow off. http://i.imgur.com/kb7jmLZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/64qICKU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VEu43gU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/B7aLnIA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fnsVxxg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mludSed.jpg |
I think it looks great, almost like you are out on the road with your track tires.

I also like the look. Curious to know how it will hold up though.

I've always liked that look. Looks good with the white, and you're lettering isn't too big. Wonder what it looks like rolling?

Nice job. I like the look on a white car.

looks good when fresh... unfortunately, every type of painted letters (oil pen, spray can, etc.) ive seen, they all turn brown and dingy after a couple weeks. :(

Here's a picture of my car. I had painted the Falken logo on the tires maybe about a week and a half prior to this shot was taken, you can see it tends to rub and flake off: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...s/DSC_8201.jpg |
I love the look once it's a couple of weeks old. It gives it a "race car" look.

damn that mustang is badass

Can somebody please do white lettering on the "Primacy HP"?

Thanks @unsurety
I did this earlier in the month before a local meet/show, the lettering drastically changes the look of your car. One of my favorite mods by far. Attachment 83678 Decided to use yellow for the lettering because as you will encounter like @ModBargains.com the white will indefinitely begin to brown. It only took an hour or so of aggressive driving for the lettering to flake off from the tires flexing. I'm thinking of going over with a paint that's more pliable, something rubber-based like plastidip or so. Here's what I used: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Max-27014-Yellow-Marker/dp/B005UUQODW/"]Amazon.com: Hot Max 27014 Yellow Paint Marker, 1-Pack: Home Improvement[/ame] Tip: I found it easier to apply by dabbing the paint on rather than trying to trace out the lettering. Dab the paint on a piece of cardboard, then dab it onto the lettering. :coolpics: .ck |
