windshield repair/replacement in the NW?

hey guys,

unfortunately today i received two nice fat rock chips in my windshield. i'm not sure if they're repairable, or if it would be better to get it replaced. i'm filing an insurance claim for it anyway.

anyone have any shop recommendations north of seattle/bellevueish?

thanks!

any pictures? i got a nasty rock chip 3 days after i got my car. geico took care of it with no charge. i think it was satellite windshield repair that came by to fix it. i barely notice it at this point. if they haven't cracked larger than a $1 bill, you insurance company should take care of it.

Got a small ding in the lower passenger area on my CA trip.
Had it filled at a local (Bremerton) auto glass shop in about 30 minutes for $49.
Can't tell it's there unless I look for it specifically.
Don't remember the name of the shop, but it was up near the Automall center across the street from the bowling alley.

Made it through the winter without any faults.

After that, I'd only consider replacing the window if it was eye level on the drivers side.

I won't replace a windshield until it won't pass state inspection. Even most cracks (not just chips) are only on the outer layer of the laminate and not the inner.

Go to a place like SpeedyGlass and spend the $30-40 to have the chip filled to keep it from turning into a crack and go from there.

insurance paid for it, used safelite for repairs, came out just fine.
