Longo Scion Demo Build Journal - Car arrives next week
 

Soooooooooo.... long story short........ we build an over the top showroom vehicle each year. Our last one was a matte white 2011 Scion tC with Tein FLEX, a full array of Five Axis Design products, TRD Exhaust, TRD Front Big Brake Kit, Pioneer Nav, Clazzio Leather Seat Covers, 3M Crystalline Window Film and 3M Matte "Clear Bra". This car was built for SEMA 2010 (Matte finish done after SEMA). (attached photo)

Before that, it was a Super White xB with a similar treatment (car built for CES 2010). (attached photo)

So we'll fast forward to 2012. I obviously wanted to go with the iQ, but I got turned down. :mad0259:so we'll be doing an FR-S instead :D

I already have a few items ordered, so I'll update the thread as these things are installed.

I'll add photos as we build it up. We'll start customizing late June to ensure enough time for people to see it as stock.

Looking forward to this build. It's nice to see a dealership being the "test dummies" for us so we can get an idea of what things should be like :P

Btw is there any FR-S currently at Longo? I just want to see the actual car. I don't even need to test drive. I want to finally see the FR-S in person!

It's at the port, so I'm hoping Monday morning with our first few FR-S :) We'll get a confirmed delivery list tonight.

We still have the sell the car at the end of the model year, so I'll probably refrain frmo the headlights =P. I'm between the TRD Exhaust and GReddy catback. Based on wanting the car to be a little more unique, I'll very likely go with the GReddy.

It's always fun modding a car on someone else's dime :D:D:D:D

I actually spoke to Young about it and we're finalizing the solution (aka pricing for paint). I should have some good news for you in a week or so. I'll help start up a group buy for the spoiler once we're settled in.

The cars arrive this Monday. Once I have the demo car in, I'll post it up here. Just schedule an appt with me and you're good to go :thumbup:

Euro spec HIDS! Would love to see how time consuming (or easy) it is on someone else's dime and time! :drool:

Per other posters. Longo Scion is selling the FRS at MSRP :clap: Here's a dealer that sees the whole picture, who wants to see the brand survive, to have a lifelong customer, and who wants that customer to bring their car in for service.

Anybody in SoCal should try and buy their FRS there, even if it means waiting for their 3rd/4th allotment. Sure beats paying 2-7k premiums.
