Front License Plate Bracket

So yesterday I can't believe I got rolled for no front plates very rare in Laguna Beach, there was definitely another probable cause to pull me over. Anybody recommend a good front plate bracket? I was thinking the grimm speed or this one I found on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-BRZ-1...4cd005&vxp=mtr
Luckily he left me off with a warning.

I highly recommend the magnet trick. There's a post in the DIY section.

I'm not going to lie to you, I thought about buying the cheap plate bracket but I bought the Grimmspeed one instead, looks much better with a lot of adjustment to your likings.

p.s. my only knock about these plate brackets is, it leaves part of the inside of the bumper exposed

Someone made a template for the tow hook cover to dremel out the hole so that you can put back on the tow hook cover and then screw the plate bracket in, so that the inside isn't exposed.

I have the Perrin and like it. Grimmspeed is considered quality also, just out of stock in most places that's why i went w/ Perrin.

I got the GodSpeed (knock off) bracket, it was like $15 cheaper than the Grimmspeed and installed fine.

I drilled a hole in the bumper cover before I installed it.

If you have a BRZ, the replacement in case you mess up is plastic, and so is like $4. Drill away!

You know where to find the template? I can't find it on the forums. :happyanim:

I have that exact plate bracket.... it does not go welll with rhe FRS. I had to put washers to space the plate away from the bumper. Attaching the plate itself is difficult.

Also, the screws that hold the license plate are rusting now. They arent not long enough to hold a frame and the plate.

Avoid the headache.

Seabrz 06-29-2014 06:42 AM

Does anyone know any aftermarket kits that allow me to have the license plate in the center of the grill without drilling any holes?

It would need to mount somewhere, the closest thing you can get is this.
