I'm hoping my BRZ is around the corner
 

I scour every forum, SOA calls me every two weeks with an update, and my dealer keeps me up to date.

So .... I have been a little dismayed by the whole delivery issue because I am OCD and I really want the car. However, I am pretty good at analysis and synthesis, and I have developed a scenario that should keep me in check for a few more weeks.

To begin, some non-First 86er cars have been showing up.

My ordered FR-S showed up last week, but I cancelled it for the BRZ, and then a few days ago a friend called me about an FR-S available because the buyer backed out - still waiting for my limited).

Then there are some BRZs that have shown up.

Regarding the FR-S launch date, it is supposed to be June 1.

My Subaru dealer, who told me they were getting a couple in late this week, also told me that Subaru was holding off the official launch until after the Subaru dealers meeting this week (it started today according to a couple of different sources).

My scenario is that both companies plan to officially release the cars about the same time, and those cars that have been sold (both BRZ and FR-S) were sold by dealers who were not going hold cars on their backlot until the release date when there is money t o be made.

and...?

Someday we'll look back on all this waiting and anticipation and laugh. Hopefully it's because we've all been enjoying our cars for awhile...and not because we're all dealing with a steady stream of "first model year" issues.
