In the video the guy announces that the next GT-86 and Fr-s will be getting a new engine and is separating from Subaru. Now im not sure how reliable this source is but, if its true it makes me want to wait a bit longer before i go ahead on the purchase. would love to know your opinion on this and what i should do. |

The car is made in a Subaru factory. It won't be "leaving" Subaru anytime soon.

The "cousins" all came from the same "mother" in the Subaru factory so if they count Subaru out then there will be No cousins. And the new GT86 might be coming from Germany if there is any smidge of truth to this rumor. I think the bmw/toyota partnership is for a completely different model car and not for the 86 twins at all..but i guess we will all find out eventually
