GTA BRZ thread
 

I don't see a thread here for BRZers in the GTA area. Perhaps one would be appropriate to exchange info about dealer experiences, pricing, promised delivery times in one thread - rather than have that information scattered across several threads involving other regions.

Placed an order today for a BRZ S-T SWP MT, dealt with the sales manager at Subaru of Mississauga (who is buying one himself). They were one of a couple of dealers who still had unsold 2nd allotment cars. Got MSRP (whoopee!) but at least he waived all admin charges and threw in free gas lol. Delivery August, with VIN available approx. end of June. Conditions on contract: Refundable deposit, no wash, no use of vehicle for test driving or display, max 20 km on odometer (tried for less but he said he could not do it due to PDI testing requirements).

And yes, I do know I have to change my user name now that I have gone to the Dark Side. :bonk::bonk: (Edit: Done.)

We bought ours at Budd's in Oakville. Car's on the boat, have the vin, just waiting on financing details. Dealt with Brock, can't recommend him enough. He never mentioned it but after reading stories of dealers demanding premiums over MSRP, I confirmed with him and he was politely offended that I had to ask. We ordered a WRB and we were 3rd or 4th on the list and all 4 people ordered WRB. I once called for an update and he wasn't in, so I spoke with another salesman. I asked him if we're getting the color we want and he said yes, Brock did a lot of wheelin and dealin with other dealers, exchanging cars, to make sure we all got WRB.

Sport-tech WRB stick arriving sometime in June.

I'm in Ottawa but I have a SWP Sport-Tech on order but they're saying not until end of july beginning of August :( Dealer gave me a order number but when I called Subaru Canada they told me they can't do anything with the order number and can't track cars. I'm guessing its very different then america who can give updates all the time? Juggernaut did you get VIN from dealer?

Dealer emailed me today and provided my VIN! He said it will be in Vancouver first week of July and will be headed to T.O! :happyanim: I ordered SWP Manual Sport-Tech.

BTW i ordered mine from Markham of Subaru. Full dealer experience and final pricing when vehicle arrives.

Yessir, he had full details on what boat it's on and VIN etc.

Got a Sport-tech WRB 6MT ordered with a $500 refundable deposit at Richmond Hill Subaru. Haven't discussed pricing etc. yet and no VIN. But I'm second at the dealer and they guaranteed me a car in their first shipment. I wasn't completely decided on getting the BRZ yet (was looking at GC 2.0T, MX-5, RX-8) and knowing there won't likely be any BRZ for test drive, I test drove the FR-S today. Lets just say I'm decided now and couldn't care less about whether the deposit is refundable or not, haha. Going to contact RH Subaru to discuss details next week.

Finally went to Richmond Hill Subaru today. They gave me msrp and no extra admin fees. And they said they never punch holes in the bumper for front plates unless they are told to by the owner. And they will let the owner drive out of the dealer without a front plate. They also told me they don't do any extra detailing - they just rip off the plastic give it a rinse.

Curious to know if anyone was able to get pricing under msrp...

I ordered SWP Auto Sport-Tech at Markham Subaru. lol guess i am the only auto here. anyways they didn't have anything for me yet, just told me will be around August

I ordered mine from there too. When did you preorder and did they charge you any admin?

Yes they did..... 199.00 dollars and globail registraion fee 299

Did you manage to decrease the price or negotiate any accessories?

nope... did u? i just went in and put down the deposit

No, I'll probably ask when they get the car. I already got my VIN and ETA July or early August. I put my deposit back in April 20 and they said I was number 5. Also, it was a non-refundable deposit and I had to sign some contract. Curious to know what did they tell you?

Wow lucky u, i havnt got my VIN yet. and i went in on April 23 right after u i think.
they told me nothing yet, but wats ur insurance quote for the brz?
They also told me, in that location most the customer ordered SWP, haha we should have a brz meet up when we all get our cars
