so I'm at work and I got a call from a insurance company called Liberty Mutual Insurance for Subaru Corp. Letting me know that my car (BRZ) should be here this weekend...this is how he said it..

Agent: Hello just letting you know that there's a truck coming through this weekend with a few BRZ and were still not sure if one of them is yours but we also have a delivery date 05/29-01/04. We work with Subaru and we get Subarus clients with the best Insurance possible!

Me: Oh okay thanks! yeah thats something that I'm looking at what are your rates?

Agent: Ill go ahead and send you an email on our rates and congrats on your BRZ, I got to test drive one and wow that car could really handle!


so that was a pretty different phone call but cool :) so will just have to wait to see if it comes in this weekend :D :thumbup::bellyroll::happy0180::w00t: I hope!!!!!

Sounds like an, "out me out", type of call to me. I mean seriously what would an insurance agent know about where the car is??? If he does know about the whereabouts of the car then he's got more info than 99% of SOA employees. :mad0259:

Sounds like marketing call. I used to work for a insurance company and our calls were very similar to his. $10 says he didn't test drive the car and $30 says he wouldn't be able to spot one on the street if he saw one.

yap i got the smae call too. same conversation...

he did mention something interesting as to the coverage.

if the BRZ were to get total within 2 years or 30k miles. they will replace the wrect one with a new BRZ.

this guy was able to give me an exact arrival date. i think he got his informtion fed by the dealership.

I'm calling shenanigans. Go ahead and pistol whip me Thorny.

I wonder if it's the same automated phone call I've been getting. I haven't picked the call yet, but they've called me aobut 5 times today alone. The number is unknown so I haven't picked it up...hmmm...maybe I'll pick up next time.

Does sound like a scam though.

it was kinda weird cause the number that they called me on was my area code 949 no unknown number...but they could be how you live in a different state...
