Do these Recaros fold down?

I'm about to purchase these Recaros but I'm not sure if they will fold down for people in the rear seats. It seems to have a knob on the side but i'm unsure if they will go down enough to let rear passengers exit comfortably

The ones I want are basically the same dimensions as these in a BRZ

Those are ASM version SR-7s - I have a lot of experience with SR-7 seats. To answer your question, if you pull the knob on the upper-side of the seat, the back portion will fold forward, but only until it hits the seat bolsters.

You can actually buy the same seats as in that Subaru; they are a different model from Recaro Japan called the "SR-6."

I would highly suggest you don't buy the ASM version of the SR-6 or SR-7 if the seat design is all you're looking for as they're considerably more expensive than the regular Recaro Japan SR-6 or SR-7s. If you want any advice on what/where to buy from, shoot me a PM.

Thanks for the info! I might just end up buying the ASM SR-7 instead of the "Ruby" version. The Ruby version seems very nice but it's a lot more then the normal ASM SR-7. I just really like the red stitching from the ASM line and I really like ASM coming from an S2000. I'll send you a PM.

Oh. My. Gahd. Those seats are SO SICK! Why did you have to show me them? I was totally happy with the stock leather/alcantara seats. Now I wanna waste money on Recaro seats. :sigh:

LOL people in the rear seat.....

I got back there to clean off the inside of the rear windshield today and there is no way anyone is fitting back there besides very small children.

Damn I hope this isn't the case. I am planning on running one of these seats and the other would be a bucket seat. So whoever is sitting behind the bucket seat would probably get a few more inches since the bucket is much thinner

Lol I dont think you need to worry too much about getting in the back-seats. They are tiny and squishy.
I put empty cardboard boxes in my back-seats so when more then one person ask for rides i tell them i got work stuff back there.

Little update, I've changed my mind and now if I can find someone that is willing to trade seats, i'll go with the TS-G ASM Limited. They seem to match perfectly with the BRZ seats.
