Any one else seen this?

*Fixed the title- didn't mean to imply that the companies future was in doubt.

EDIT2: Feel free to bin this- my quick scan of the front page missed the other one.

Strong correlation between post count and the quality of this thread topic.

Looks like Toyota would rather focus on Supra development in collaboration with BMW.

I wonder how much that'll end up costing. Seems like a very different market.

Sounds like Toyota wants to make a sports car with BMW that'll surely be overpriced. Wasn't that one of the contributing factors that killed Japanese sports cars in the 90's (Rx7, Supra, 300Z)? Most people that bought the FR-S wanted better than a tC/sideways is a plus/better looking than a GTi or Subaru/more reliable that anything from Detroit/cheaper than a Z and not a Civic. Since that niche has been met now they want to go for those with deeper pockets.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But changing the engine from a boxer to an inline would completely screw up this car and it's lovely CG?

It's all good, I would just suggest doing a search in the future.

I second that.

Not necessarily. It might raise it a bit, but it wouldn't have to change it front to back which is what most folks care about.
