Those are the initials of my name but sure is nice to use DR., LOL |
To all those who do not wish for this car to continue due to wanting your own to increase in value - consider this: Someone smashes into your car a few years from now and it's totaled. Now you have to spend more money to get a (likely worse) used one off someone if you want the same car. Not cool. Nobody should be wishing for the early demise of this car no matter how selfish you are.

IF* the BRZ was discontinued, being a proper gearhead I would immediately buy a MY 16 WRX and garage my BRZ. |
I recently visited a Subaru dealer and asked about a 2014 Premium manual. I was told there were only 16 left in Southern California, 2 at that dealership. Color choices were down to black & silver. Current pricing was below dealer invoice, plus my IMBA discount. Until the 2015 models arrive this is about it, at least for this particular setup.
Also, just because Subaru may drop the BRZ doesn't mean Scion will drop the FR-S, so parts won't be a problem. |

I don't really care if they do decide to drop the car after one generation. To me a lot of other cars usually were only good with one or two generations anyway so it really makes no difference. That's what makes them legendary.
Not a lot of cars I can think off the top of my head where every generation was really good. Maybe NSX or Miata? Nevertheless this was a good attempt by Toyota to re-ignite the enthusiast market with a Miata-like formula. |
I hope to GOD that this is true. That way, FR-S owners won't need to feel insecure about their purchases anymore because BRZ-envy is tearing our community apart! :bellyroll:

It shouldn't be long before the 2015 start coming in. |
Its all up in the air. Granted this rumor is stemming from the fact, that Toyota is potentially (all rumors atm) looking to use BMW for the next generation FT-86 car. But its anyones guess.

SUBARU MAY LOSE BRZ?!

It's not true. Please stop spreading false rumors like this. Even if Subaru were to discontinue this car after one generation they wouldn't axe it after 3 years. That's financially stupid. And it doesn't take a business degree to know that, especially given that the economies of scale are shared with Toyota. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Back in early 2013, Subaru announced they would axe the WRX.
The current, at the time, WRX was axed in early 2014, bringing on the age of the 4th generation WRX. AKA Fuck this thread. |
