Silicon black vented hood?
Hey guys,
So with every new post of mine, I must apologize if the answer is found elsewhere on these forums. Trust that I have tried to find my answer, and crowding up the forums with another topic is my last resort! On to the question. My BRZ has recently had some hail damage *begins to tear up*. I don't think some heat and dry ice is going I fix this bad boy; even Keenan said it wasn't worth trying to fix. I would love to get a hood with a vent, but all I can find are the carbon and dry carbon hoods. I could just get a new stock silicon black hood, but I used to have a WRX with a scoop, and I feel like a single wide vent hood in silicon black would just look extra sexy. Does anyone know who makes these kind of aftermarket hoods, but not in carbon fiber? TLDR: I want a vented aftermarket BRZ hood in silicon black (not carbon fiber) Thanks folks! |
You can paint the carbon fiber hoods, or get those same hoods in fiberglass.

This is still my favourite solution to this problem. Paint a carbon hood, and this one is the perfect example of how good it can look. Exactly what I plan to do if I ever want a vented hood.

I think he's looking for hoods that are cheaper than c/f counterparts, not because they don't come in black. I'm not sure they exist.

That painted c-f hood looks awesome! It's not that I'm trying to save money, I just want the vented hood, but in the silicon black. I don't think the c-f would look good on my blacked out car.
I found the c-f hood for ~$700ish online. How much additional would it be to get it painted? And what about that vs getting it wrapped? |
