Flat tire surrounded by the police.

I was the DD tonight. Mainly because my friends wanted to roll in my car. 2 in the morning they want to continue partying and I wanted to sleep, so they took a taxi and we parted ways. I take off and realize my car is acting funny and then I notice the tire pressure light. Ugh... It was already too late for this crap.

I pull in to a McDs' parking lot to assess the situation. I hadn't changed a tire on my scion before, so I pull out the manual to figure out all the necessary bits of information. I set about my tire changing journey and a nice guy offered to help me. I took him up on the offer, because, why not? Someone to chat with.

While the guy was helping me, a drunk lady drove over the curb right next to us. Obviously waaaaaaaaay to drunk to drive. We called the police on her. So not too long after that, my car was surrounded by police while I was finishing changing my tire. It was a bit surreal.

I get home with this awesome story only to realize I should have taken a picture of the whole thing. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

So did you buy him a burger?

So did you give up the D to the guy instead of the lady??

Is it just me or am I missing the significance here?

What's the point of this whole story? Did the cops acknowledge your car and say "cool car" or something? Did that guy who offered to help say he has some special relationship to the car?

Ohh! You still drunk?

:confused0068:

Not gonna lie I was expecting some kind of plot twist or more intense climax (no pun intended...) :P

Not sure what I read here. Changing a tire at night with drunk lady nearby was somehow an exciting and surreal experience? :)
