Bump.. anyone else using the stage 2? My stage 1 is slipping. :(

Ive had the exedy stage 2 on my car for almost 5000 miles with no issues or difficulties with daily driving. Only gripe is with the light flywheel the car has stalled sometimes when reversing after a cold start but thats to be expected. Im boosted with PTuning turbo kit.

No, its not to be expected. If your tune is right, that will not happen. We are led to believe by "Tuners" that there are drivability compromises to be had with a tuned/modified car, and that is simply an excuse to half ass a tune. The great @jamesm taught me that.

Also I want to hear updates on anyone using this clutch. I am and pushed it on the street yesterday a bit below 450 whp and everything was fine. Obviously, harsher tests are to come but still want to know how is everyone doing.

I'm still breaking mine in, but so far, streetability is great. I probably won't be testing the upper limits of the clutch tho... Need to preserve this motor :)

I don't mean to throw anyone in particular under the bus, BUT I had a previous tune from a banned vendor and it showed the following behavior. Idle dips coming to stops, ocasional stalling, fuel trims going crazy at idle among other problems.... All of this with a bolt on turbo kit.

I was told by said tuner that was "expected" and "the cost of modifying the car".

Well then I met James, he showed me how to tune injectors for drivability and my car has never stalled again, mind you, I now don't have a bolt on kit anymore but a custom kit James (HRI Tuning) had to develop a tune from the ground up. My car only shows minor idle dips when it gets scorching hot (100+ when adding humidity) and in traffic. Hope you get the stalls taken care of because it does get annoying.

@Sportsguy83 - haven't been on here in awhile. You hated the twin disc so much you lowered the power and switched to this clutch? lol

I've got my clutch install booked for this Friday. Excited to go back to E85 and up da boost!

Haha no after break in it got good. Better to drive than a 6 puck.

I changed it out because don't want to push stock motor and transmission at 500+ whp and built motor will have to wait a long while.

Good luck with everything! !
