Exedy Stage 2 Clutch

I would like some feedback from people who currently have this clutch. How is it to daily drive, pedal stiffness, and does it chatter at all? I'm about to pull the trigger on a stage 2 when they come back in stock so I just want some reassurance before I spend my monies.

I also want to know what power has it held so far. (WTQ).

I have one. But have not really pushed it in my gt86 yet. I kick the clutch lots, never slipped.

I also have the same clutch in my ae86. I competitively drift that. 400whp, semi slicks, 4th gear mostly, some 5th gear, clutch kicks in both gears, never slipped.

I hate seeing power numbers on clutches more than I hate seeing them on turbos, because it comes down to how you're using it. Me on semi slicks, clutch kicking, in drift events, is going to be much harder on a clutch than a street driven application. However, of recommend this clutch safely upto 450whp (as I've actually run mine at that level) beyond that I think you're probably pushing it and should instead start looking at the twin plate option. Yes the twin plate is expensive, but if you're over 450whp, you've already spent shitloads on everything anyway. (Or you've just cranked up a turbo kit and are about to blow everything and spend shitloads)

I daily my BRZ as well as drift and autox with about 300whp 230ish torque. I'm mainly concerned with how this clutch feels on the street I have no doubt that it will hold the power because I know that exedy under rates their products. So with that being said can you tell me how it is on the street as for chatter mainly and pedal stiffness.

Zero chatter that I have seen in my personal daily BRZ.

Pedal stiffness is near stock.

It really is the ultimate factory replacement, thought I can't say for sure what it's upper limits are power wise.....as I haven't found them yet ;)

I plan on replacing my Exedy Stage 1 with this as soon as the next power upgrade is in place.

Have it on my ptuning turbo frs and Ptuning had it on their shop car when it was pushing around 300tq. I think they started slipping when getting around 400lbft. You wil notice flywheel rattle with the ac on and sitting idle in traffic in neutral but i drive tha car year round without driveability issues.

Heard too many bad things about ACT, Exedy is a more reputable brand in my opinion. They under rate the tq load their clutches hold, the Stage 2 which seems to be an 8 puck holds up to 400tq reportedly.

Where do u see 8 pucks???

We have notified Exedy of their image mistake.

They will be updating it soon.
