So I receive a call early Wednesday morning from my dealer (which has done a great job updating me on the where abouts of my car) and they said it was on a truck coming from Jacksonville. They expected it to arrive on Friday for Memorial Day weekend. I was ecstatic! I went with my friends to the Rays vs. Jays game over in St. Pete. It was 3rd inning when I receive another call from my dealer, he says the car will be at the dealership in 15 mins!! :eyebulge:

I instantly called my brother and uncle to head over there for me and make sure everything goes as planned. My brothers arrives just in time as the truck pulls in and sends me a pic of it on the truck. He then tells me there are 20 people outside waiting for it to come off the truck. I panic and tell him not to let anyone sit in it, breath on it, or look at it the wrong way. Before he even gets the text he told me the manager came out and told everyone not to touch the car via the buyers request. No one knew the kid taking pics was my brother. The fact that they respected me even when I was 45 mins away blew me back! He kept taking pics for me at different angles and my uncle arrives.

I told my friends we had to leave because my car came in haha! The drive to the dealership could never be longer. I had to sign some papers and all that mumbo jumbo, took about 30 mins and they handed me the keys to get the first drive! They took a few pics and videos of me in it and around it. The dealer hopped in the car with me to go to the gas station to fill up the tank. THIS CAR IS LOWWWW. I love it and will be posting the pics when I get out of work!

I've never heard of a dealership that detailed the exterior without introducing more swirls in the paint.

I, personally, would have taken the instant $5,000 profit and just waited a month or 2 for another unit. Heck, the wait might not even be that long...
Here's to hoping my dealer offers that option!

It's great to hear a story where the dealer actually cares about the buyer's car and treats them with respect, there seem to be far too few of these.

Now thats perfect. Thats EXACTLY how a special car order & delivery should go. I wish ALL of the Scion dealerships around the nation understood this.
